The first Leopard 2 was painted in 3-tone in 1984. However painting was stopped fast due to soldiers complain about illness caused by the colours. After this, painting was only done while on stationed workshop overhaul. So, gelbolive Leopard2 I thing were still around after 1984.
Hi Michael,
the Minitanks colour range is long OOP. I think I have a can in deep storage but I don´t know if it is “alive”. Their Forestgreen was the best representation of Forestgreen in my eyes.
Also Minitank range is now in possession of Arsenal M company.
Found it, is it suitable for hand brushing?
yes it is

I think Revell 42 Gelboliv enanel works very well. It needs to be airbrushed in thin coats and gradually built up. I was surprised at the Revell 42’s excellent airbrusing character when thinned with Mr.Color Leveling Thinner ~85% thinner 15% color.
After testing picked Revell 42 over my prior favorite for this color the MRP version.
Revell 42 was choice for the last 40 years, enamel colors still have many advantages for vehicle painting…
I see, however, I got the RAL 6014 Gelboliv (Late), which I think will work fine.
Any pictures already?
Not yet, school is taking up too much time, so I can hardly find time to paint D:
The factory KMW begann to apply the 3-tone camo with their 4th production batch in 1984.
Thanks
Hey, does anyone know if the AK RAL6014 Gelboliv is already thinned for painting? If not, what ratio should I thin it to?
If airbrushing, thin it 50\50 with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner and shoot it at about 12 - 15 PSI.
What about brush painting?
If brush painting, you can use it straight from the bottle, but if you’re getting brush marks, thin it with 25% MCLT.
Alright, thanks! What is MCLT?
Mr. Color Leveling Thinner.
Aight, although I don’t have that, instead Tamiya’s X-20A thinner
You didn’t say, is this AK acrylic or AK Real Color paint?
