Patrol Jeep In Postwar Germany

This is a project I had in mind for years, and I finally have the elements needed. If I read correctly, jeeps typically had two American soldiers and one German soldier for translating and so forth. I wonder if said jeeps had guns other than crew members’ personal weapons and how they were marked. This would be prior to the formation of the Circle C Cowboys when there was confusion as to what to do with the situation in Germany.

Have a look thru this site. Lots of good photos to be found, but not the easiest to navigate at times.

Most Post WWII Constabulary Jeeps did not have weapons on them. If they did, they would most likely have been .30 cal MGs. There were some colorful ones though.
