Who still builds an Italeri M113 since there s AFV Club M113?

I’m inclined to agree, the fuel tank on the Italeri kit looks a tad bit small but I could be wrong, the Academy kit is close enough, but the injection molding is as laborious to fix as AFV’s kit is to build. Eduard’s PE set looks nice though, the interior detail is basically pointless considering it’s barely visible.

I think the Academy kit is the best compromise between the two.

I’m about to make a possibly unpopular opinion. the question should not be who would build what kit the question is why companies are still making PE and not make 3D printed upgrade sets. I personally can’t wait for the death of PE in favor of 3D printed parts.

Because Aber and Eduard have photo etching machines, and no 3D printers. They would have to set up a whole new factory for 3D. And you’re not going to get a 200 part 3D set for $30.

Trust me I’m fully aware of that but I skip past any PE sets due to the fact they are a pain to deal with and (unless it is a turned part of some form of grate/screen/mesh) they do not provide any extra detail worth the headache of dealing with the pe. I’ll gladly pay extra for 3D printed sets. Now this is my opinion and mine alone.

Like anything, both have their place. 3D printed fenders work, you want to bend up etc and have a more unique look then a pe fender can be a better option. Unless you can draw and print your own than that’s a different story.

good point but still don’t like it.

 That is a fair point.

Those who have a large stash of them planned for various conversion sets that were designed for the Italeri kits. Hull sizes differ slightly, …da bassturds …

Some parts are best made with PE.
Some parts are best made with 3D-printing
Some parts are best bent from copper or brass wire.
Some parts are best ignored since they are too freaking small.
