Hey All,
I know I’m going out on a limb here, as I think the likelihood of fiddling what I’m looking for is about zero, but I’ll ask anyway. I have a 1/35 Dragon M1A2 SEP, kit 3636, which is in need of the photo etch ‘sprue’. On the list of sprues, page 1 of the instructions, this ‘sprue’ is identified as MA. Somehow or other, in the mists of the past, those parts must have gotten used for another build, who knows why. In any event, I’d love to find a replacement for that photo etch. If someone happens to have one of these sitting around, I’m prepared to pay a more than fair amount for it, including shipping, of course. Again, I know the likelihood of finding one of these is pretty remote, but I’ll never know if I don’t ask. Thanks for any help!
If that doesn’t pan out.
Still have to use screen for the rear turret.

Unfortunately, the Eduard PE set doesn’t give me what I’m looking for. If anyone has built a Dragon M1A1 AIM or M1A2 SEP kit, you may recall that the tops of the armored skirts have photo etch details. The Eduard set does not include this level of detail. That’s actually what I’m missing from my M1A2 kit, which was included in the original Dragon kit photo etch sheets.
Sometimes one can find that sort of thing on Ebay. I didn’t find one when I checked a few minutes ago.
I did find the 1/35 Ryefield Model PE for the M1A2. Does it have the PE parts you need?
Ryefield Model’s M1A2 PE on ebay
Seems to have similarly to the Dragon MA PE on first look.

Actually, it DOES have the parts I need. I have several Rye Field M1 Abrams tanks, and didn’t even think to see if they had similar parts. I thjhink that will do what I’m looking for! Many, many thanks for opening my eyes to the obvious!

Good deal!
We’ve all had Modeler’s Block on occasion. I certainly have.
