Someone in the comments in that link printed it and it shows a lot of print lines.
Here it is cropped and the print lines are more visible. Zoom in on the figure and they are really noticeable.
i do not want to hijack your thread. Its free for the most part if you use a Bambu Printer or have a MW account. For a model with over 1M triangles that surface is weird, as if the model is “unfinished”. Even with all the setting tweaked it is still there. Anyways, let me play with it a bit over the coming days.
Not hijacking at all. I originally posted about the resting soldier so the thread is open to any and all posts regarding these desk top ornaments/figures.
Thanks for looking into it. It’s a shame the print lines were made into the STL file . Hopefully they can be smoothed out and printed on a resin printer. Would love to see your print once you finish tweaking the file.
If that “tired soldier” were smoothed well enough, I’d consider it.

The could be a nice start for a HALO jumper going through preoxygenation or denitrogenation.
The pilot figure does look better but so did the resting soldier in the product photo.
Here is the resting soldier product photo and it looks just as good as the pilot
so the pilot might not be as good as it looks in the product photo.

The Alien finally arrived today. The SD Predator is separate from the tail and won’t be using it on mine. The tail is also separate from the body. The print lines are the same as the Predator consoling Alien from my original post at the top. Will try to prime it tomorrow if the humidity is low.
It’s a decent size at roughly 6 inches wide and to the highest part of the tail is roughly 4.5 inches tall.
Got the Alien primed today. I would have preferred it to be in regular resin or resin 3D printed instead of filament. It needs Mr. Surfacer so think I really need to invest in some.

I’ve gotten many printed figures with the same problem. The square pegs are slightly too large to fit into their corresponding holes. Now, I just carefully clip off the pegs at their base and visually place the figure to it’s base, or arms to body, etc.
Hmmm…looks like you already did that!
The pegs on the bottom of the hands are slightly inserted but maybe only 1/4 of the way. If I force them any further, the hands/arms might snap off. The feet don’t have any pegs but the base has two circular depressed areas for the balls of the feet to fit but the depressed areas on the base don’t align with the balls of the feet. In my photos, the Alien is mostly just resting on top of the base.
I will have to clip the pegs off as you did with your figures or maybe I can file down the pegs a bit to fit better. Not sure how I will fit the balls of the feet into the depressed areas though. I might have to fill those areas in and redo them to fit.
Filing down the square pegs works. Or just snip them off completely. Drill small holes through the center of the stub and the center of the square hole, and insert brass rod, secure with CA. Now it’s bomb proof.
Thanks for the tips. I will try to work on getting it to fit the base later this week and see which way will work the best.
Today, I primed the Panda M-ATV and hoping to at least get the interior painted sometime this week so I can start fitting together the major sub assemblies. The doors will be closed so not much of the interior will be seen at all so not spending a lot of time on exact color matching and getting everything perfect.
