Thanks for elaborating. Priming the plastic, I assume, serves the same purpose as priming a canvas - giving some tooth for the oils to adhere to. (For the record, I’ll take Mr. Surfacer over rabbit skin glue any day!) I never took to (“artists”) acrylics; the colours always felt dull to me. Also never cared for the texture (sorry, was that too artsy fartsy?) It’s been a long time since I put paint to canvas, but… looks like its a trip to the hobby store to raid the cheap shelf for a new “canvas”. Thanks again for the details. Much appreciated. Cheers.
