Exhaust Time…
Kit mufflers, open ends filled with CA. I wanted a solid flat base to work from for the On the Mark PE.
Based on the 1989 Tamiya kit added white styrene cap and center disc with punch & die sets. OTM PE provides a base, a cap, poppet valves, arm & hinge plus Grandtline bolts.
Base plate plus generous Molak Stucco Putty. Naturally, the pipes should be round of course they’re not. Hopefully, sanding will make this passable so the 1989 Late Tamiya Tiger kit doesn’t end up trashed as a parts donor.
Thanks to the slow setting time of the Testor’s Liquid Cement the center disc can be tweaked for better alignment.
Covers & hex bolts. The etched holes were too small and had to be reamed for the bolts.
Starbond Black Super Glue made this much easier than the last time I did this 30 years ago with an OTM ser and regular CA.
