Question about a M1078 picture

Hello, I try to understand the picture.

Are the troop seats removed in the cargo bed of this truck seen in Sadr City in 2004 ?

How are positioning soldiers inside ? Squatting ? Kneeling ?

Looking at it on my phone it’s very difficult to see much, but I can tell you this - the seats don’t need to be removed. They simply fold out of the way.
From what I can see of the soldiers, their position almost suggests at least two of them are prone. They could very well have sandbags underneath them. If I were at my computer I might be able to get a better view.

The one with weapon ready is definitely kneeling; the two next to him do appear to be prone. The row of fellows on the right seem to be leaning back against each other; laying back to lower their combined profile?

Looks like the front set on the driver’s side are in and the passenger side seats are in as well. Can’t tell about the rear part on the driver’s side the only guy in the back pulling security is very close to the side of the bed so i think they are not in place. Also, that truck is hurting the passenger side rear tire is flat and the passenger side rear window looks shot out and there is smoke coming from the engine area of the driver’s side of the cab.

This is a M1085 bed but the seats are similar…I guess that in the M1078 view at least “some” of the seats on the drivers’s side have been removed.

If present and (unproperly) folded down, the seats rounded edge would be visible…

Thank you for your answers.

So I understand I have to build it like this, to be right with the reference picture.
