Do the Mk19 can be used without the feed throat ?
The item in 1:35 scale from MicroCosmos does not have this part molded on.

I have only found pics who show a training situation with a disassembled feed throat and ammo box not carried in holder.
I was not sure the feed throat could be removed in combat situation.

In combat that feed throat can save your life if you’re pounding them with a f ton of 40 Mike Mike.. the belts tend to backlash when feeding it a lot of rnds instead of a couple at a time.. it keeps the belt from fouling. So you can keep stacking bodies and making the grass grow
