I’m thinking that I will use my Milputty to create the muzzle cover. I think I might add some sandbags from Panzer Art. What to you think? I also have a 3D printer Cope cage inbound now. Thats coming in from Australia
Do you have any references of a T55 in sandbag armor in use by the Russian Army? Personally I wouldn’t put together a project I didn’t have some sort of photographic reference for.
I agree with Sean.
I haven’t seen any sandbag armor used lately by the Russian Army.
A T-55 from Middle East or African Civil Conflicts, maybe it would fit.
For a Russian Army tank from these mid-2020’s … I don’t think so.
Of course I could be wrong too…
Still, looking forward to see your project.
I have a few of these T-55’s in stash waiting for some Free Bench Time
( I need to finish my T-54’s first… )
Sometimes I just use my imagination for some of it. Im going to get the sandbags soon. Im just trying to help out a local business. AKA Ultracast in Canada. I might use up my Milputty to make some lower hull sandbags.
Its not a T-55, but it’s sandbags. Okay let me try this, T-55 with Panzer Art sandbags kit. With a 3D printed cope cage. And maybe a Milputty barrel cover? What are your thoughts? And for reference I did see a couple of T-55 on a train couple weeks ago. So my guess is that they will be more in a Self proppel Artillery mode.
Having seen the hundreds if not thousands of photos on the Ukraine site pretty much anything goes as far as type of armor, extra armor, anti drone cages, etc. So what ever you want go for it.
AFAIK, sandbags were used on Macedonian (now North Macedonian) T55 in early 2000 during clashes with Albanian population extremists
