I building tamiyas leopard 1 for a friend i think he said the old one with the round cast turret and want to use ral 6014 gelboliv ak discontuned it mig and mission boyth hsve it but i dont want to hsve to buy thier brand of thinner just for one build what are my options?

AK Real Color came in two shades of Gelboliv; early and late.

RC086 (Initial) and RC087 (late)

Both have been disontinued in the revised line of real colors

Revell enamel No 42 or Tamiya Khaki Drab XF-51.

Tamiya kahki drab makes things easier

I think you’ll find it just fine Nick; whilst the Revell enamel reflects the real colour, in 1/35 it’s a touch too dark I feel. The Tamiya one works just fine:
