Aerobonus has released aviation related figures in 1:32 and 1:48 scales

Why do they cast these figures with the heads attached to the casting blocks in ways that means a heap of clean-up and lost detail, when it makes so much more sense to use the neck as the attachment point? :upside_down_face:


I’ve wondered that, too. Maybe some of the members on site who have done resin casting can shed light on it. Something to do with an even pour and escape of air bubbles, or just bad planning and engineering by the model makers?
