Renault UE

Not by design but I have a few Mirage kit of the UE2 now.

Trying to find some replacement tracks for the rubber band tracks in the kit and not having much luck finding any designed for the kit.

Any help or something that is reasonable close will also work.

Thanks in advance.

Not many options, only one I know is for the Tamiya UE kit but you might be able to make them work, although they are one piece.

That is the only option I saw as well.

Anyone know if another tanks tracks are close enough to fake it? I am thinking about maybe a H39 or R39. French vehicles are not my thing so apologies if I made something hyperventilate on the idea.

While the shape is similar, H35/H39/R35 tracks are much larger then UE tracks.

Any other possible options in a similar vane?

Should be very similar/same as the tracks from a Polish TK or TKS. Might look for aftermarket TKS track, I remember someone made those in photo etch.

Tracks made out of PE? There goes sanity!

IIRC,
Mirage kits have rubber tracks for the trailer, but the vehicle itself has plastic link-by-lenght tracks? Cheaper would be then to acquire multiple Mirage kits for canibalisation?

Thanks.
Indeed Part made pe tracks for TKS.

Would 7TP tracks be similar? Quick tracks makes a set.

Actually they look easy to assemble, just not easy on the eyes detail wise. They have a 1/72 set that I think would work perfect for the scale.

Thanks. You are correct. I recalled the long rubber bands but didn’t study the plastic. It does have plastic link and length track. Which is only slightly better than rubber band.

7TP, and similar Vickers-E derivatives have larger tracks, and it is unlikely they could work with the UE sprockets. The sprocket fit for TKS tracks might be an issue as well.

Either Mirage or RPM made a TKS with link and length tracks, but you need two kits for enough links for a UE.
