Replacement M109A2 tracks?

For my M109A2 Doher I glued the tracks provided in the kit. When the glue was set I test fitted them with the running gear.

Here is the result.

Come on AFV Club can’t you do better? Your tracks are worse than the old Italeri ones.

Now I have to find a set of replacement tracks. Which set would be the best option?

TIA

Give them a chance. They’ll look better with the wheels in place. You may have to remove a link by the looks of it. I like to leave the idler adjustable on most AFV kits to get the correct sag. Trust me, that set works well - you just have do a little fiddling.

Had the same issue when I built mine. Like Bravo said just remove a link and adjust the idler.

At first it was my intent. But how can you remove a link and glue the track back so it remains sturdy. You can’t hide a staple here.

I guess those are T-136 tracks.

Riich , AFV Club and Italeri produce T136 tracks. Italeri and rich are very similar, they are made from a black plastic which is a bit brittle. They are workable. I have used them on a couple of models and was pretty pleased.

Unusual weathering of track, or lack thereof, based on the fact that this example had newly arrived at Fort Hood when I originally photographed it. Lotta work went into correcting the Italeri kit…

Nice sag, even if tracks weren’t correct.

Well listening to 18bravo advice I managed to cut the tracks, removed 2 links and build it back as in real life or close. The connectors were drilled out as the track links and metal rods were inserted. It looks sturdy enough. Just have to see if I can get the correct sag.
