I saw an ad for a company called Resin-Figures, which claims to make figures in any scale and in detail. Does anyone have experience with them?
never heard of them, do they have a website i/we could look at?
I cannot even find the site now. But no matter if nobody has done business with them.
I did not find a vendor named that, but here are a bunch on Etsy:
Boy,. there sure were a lot of figures on Etsy. I went thru 10 screens worth of figs. I was disappointed to see some direct rip offs of Planet Nuts busts, Jeff Shiu, and even Preiser HO figs. But there were some figures that caught my eye.
The military figures on ETSY can indeed be ripoffs of resin casts. The larger fantasy, Sci-Fi, superhero, knight, and movie character figures tend to be originals sculpted by 3D artists.
Speaking of resin figures, are the older resin figures from Kirin, 1/15/150mm of a Vietnam SEAL, Somalia, Desert Storm special operations still of interest, there weren’t that many? Or does everyone have these in their stash already? Just curious.
There was a modeler on this site who did outstanding work on the old Verlinden 120mm figures among others, I think he went by the name Lazarus. I haven’t seen any of his posts for a long time, maybe he changed his username? His work was excellent. I still have a few old Kirin large scale figures, but I think they have been obviously surpassed by the better quality figures coming out in recent years. Some of them were quite well done back then.
Still here Richard, my old buddy! Just having a few medical issues that’s stopping me from doing much at the moment. As soon as I get back up to speed, I’ll be posting what I can. I’ve still got loads of 120mm Verlinden in the stash so, who knows?
All the best,
G.
Ok that’s great news Gary. I look forward to seeing your excellent work again and most importantly, get better soon!
Good news re medical issues improving. Thank you for the word on Kirin, I am finding representative SEALs from Vietnam need customization, certainly for 1/12 M63 Stoners and head choices. I also bought 120mm Verlindens and weapons sets for Vietnam SEALs, those in the deep stash, again, to be used to modify poses and heads. In retrospect sticking to120mm would have been the singular direction to follow. Thanks for the input!!
You’re most welcome Paul! Good luck on your projects.

I got lucky and found the website! No knowledge about the company though.
