I have this in my cart but am wondering about the canopy masks. There are two different ones offered by Edwuard that are suggested but I’m not sure which is the correct choice. Second question is if these canopy parts can be secured after painting like some clear parts can which would eliminate the masking.
I am assuming you mean the 1/35 kit. If so, yes, the canopy is in multiple pieces, added near the end of the build, and could be left off and added after painting.
No Idea on the Eduard masks, but it comes with mask templates in the kit.
If the two Eduard options are T-face or non-T face, then either will work. The T-face set provides two sets of masks, one for the inside of the clear parts and the second set for the exterior. The regular set just includes exterior masks.
Note that the templates on the ICM instructions are just that. There are no masks or masking materials in the kit. You’ll have to supply the masking material, cut the templates from the instructions, and use them to cut your own masks.
Thank you. They do offer both but I guess I only need the outside one. I have not found printed instructions for the kit but ICM had a computer generated build on YouTube and it seems the canopy parts were just glued on near the end of the build which makes me wonder if you can just after painting is done
The instructions are available on Scalemates.
Here: US Attack Helicopter AH-1G Cobra, ICM 53031 (2023)
They are just below “Timeline” before “Marketplace” and can be printed as a PDF.
