Sci-Fi and Alternative history XI

Thanks for the comments and insights, Doug! Indeed could be a gundark, especially since the designer might have tried to reflect the great hearing of the Gundark with enormous ears.

The black wash, drybrushing, and the colors really stands out on the Gundark. A very unique Sci-Fi piece!

I am going to join the group build with this kit….the Zvezda 1/2700 Star Destroyer.

I am looking at some 3D printed add on parts I am considering.

I ordered this resin update set…including all new engine bells, new small engine thrusters, new hanger bay, new shield generators, garbage disposal chute, front half of the bridge, vehicles in scale, and all kinds of tubing and greeblies to detail the destroyer. I ordered from Mojo Modelworks on ETSY, and he was very quick in replying to my questions.

I also have a really nice plexiglass stand I ordered from EBay……

I fear you are posting in the wrong thread.

You need thr XII one, not this XI, which has been ended a month ago.

Dear All

Thanks to all who has contributed to the campaign - regardless of whether you finished a build, just commented, or life got in the way of finishing your build. Remember any unfinished builds from the XI campaign that go into XII campaign already ongoing.

A lot of fantastic builds this year. Congreats to all that finished. Here is the list of finishers:

@RonW

@Lakota

@TimReynaga

@Btwosan

@Zonarch

@Killnoizer

@Damraska

@SGTJKJ

Let me know if I missed anyone?

Next steps:

I will give it a week for anybody I missed to let me know.

Then I will submit the names of finishers for awarding the medals.

See you in Sci-Fi and Alternative History XII !

This is the first Armorama (Sci-Fi) campaign that I have entered and have never really started or finished, even after a year. It’s no “Big Deal” to me that I didn’t finish or get the campaign medal. However…

I think that I learned an important lesson in that over the course of an entire year, instead of sticking to a resin kit that I know is complex and takes a lot of time and care to build, I should have switched to a much simpler (like a 3D-printed) kit that I didn’t need to cut, file, and sand, and enter one to complete this Sci-Fi Campaign. That’s what I did for the 2026 Sci-Fi campaign even though it’s mid-February and I haven’t made much progress anyway due to daily life, etc. :grinning_face:

Do what you can :laughing: .
But there are better things in life than a resin kit.
