Would Sonderskommando Dora’s vehicles carried tactical markings? If so, what? They were an Abwehr unit, initially tasked with mapping, investigating terrain types and weather in south west Libya, Chad, Niger. Brandenburgers were attached as security and the tasking expanded to gaining intel on Free French forces in Chad. I’ve seen tactical markings for cartographical units and recon. Did Intel sorts have their own marking? Or would they have just carried license plates and the unit emblem of the scorpion? Tamiya’s instructions dont show any , but then again,they show a Luftwaffe vehicle with Wehrmacht plates and markings for a “North Africa” Kampfgruppe that was formed in the Ardennes in 44… sooo …
