The only comparison that has any value or meaning is between the model item and reality.
It doesn’t matter if A is longer than B or why C made their pieces the way they did. All that matters is how closely the model pieces align to the real dimensions divided by 35. People often lose sight of that.
If the model piece is made to fit an existing kit with its own inaccuracies, or things run into what is possible with model manufacturing technology, there’s some context to consider. For standalone items, there’s no excuse for not being correct.
