Model manufacturers keep on trying to entice us with various experimental tanks, prototypes or even Paper Panzers.
I guess that means that someone thinks there is a market for such kits.
Amusing Hobby also have a bunch:
Black Eagle, Object 640, AH35A064
KF51 Panther, AH35A047
Spähpanzer Ru 251, AH35A055
M1 Abrams X, AH35A054
AMX-50B, AH35A049
FV221 Caernarvon, AH35A050
FV4005 SPG, AH35A029
FV217 Badger, AH35A034
ARL44 French Heavy Tank, AH35A025
FV215B, Tank Destroyer, AH35A008
I have omitted their WWII, or rather 1946 +, German stuff
Honestly I think it’s more likely for me to finish an Amusing Hobby Prototype than a Trumpeter one simply due to the amount of parts and PE in the trumpeter kits. The Amusing Hobby kits seem more accessible if you’re going to go down that route. That reminds me, I can’t remember where I placed the RU251 I bought several months ago, I swore I would work on that…
The RU 251 is a great little kit I found Nigel; I used different tracks as I was in a bit of a hurry (a relative term for me) but again, it’s one of those kits where one can add, or not, all those bits and pieces which it may have had incorporated into it, if it had come into service.
Even if out of the box, it’s still an interesting little vehicle in its own right I feel. Get searching(!)
Just caught up here Brian having been busy travelling around, including the annual pilgrimage to Telford for Scale Model World. I have some interesting pics from that event, which I will post in due course.
The Object 450 looks rather splendid, and the good news is, another completed model! Always a good milestone in our hobby.
that last one is the T80 variant with a 152mm gun
The ALR44 did enter service in around 1947 or maybe it was later
with all the Abrams and Leopard 2 builds I have done id love to have both the US and German versions of the MBT70
That looks great.
Thanks Ralph!
