Strange Bf-109

Has anyone seen this scheme before…? I’m thinking about adapting it to fit the upcoming Kotare ‘K’ kit that’s coming soon. The front nose color is what…??

Eggplant

Only if you’re a vegetarian. For everyone else it’s purple.

The blown canopy makes it look a bit Luft '46-ish, weren’t they only on the Avia S-199?

Cheers,

Fantasy scheme.

Reminds me of the Trimester Fw 190 rammer, with similarly fictitious nose coloring. The box art sure was cool though!

Unteroffizier (later Feldwebel) Willi Maximowitz didn’t survive the war. Since the 20. April 1945 he is MIA in the Frankfurt/Oder area, probably shot down by soviet fighters. He was never found. He was an ace with 27 kills and flew Fw 190 A-8 in the JG 1 and JG 3. Several years ago I built his (this) “Black 8” from the Tamiya kit … :slightly_smiling_face:

Would the provided camo scheme (supposedly from Oct. 1945) be a fictitious scheme for a 109 based on his 190?

The box art suggests a 4 blade prop.

Found this thread over on britmodeller

VE day was May 8, 1945, the caption on the illustration says October 1945.

So, fantasy.
