STRV 122 a frozen Leopard

2010 … next time I look inside the box …
in anticipation of the birth of the second heir I wanted to give myself a nice tank to do without too many problems … given the little time I could have given him … (to the wagon)
STRV 122: or the Leopard in Swedish sauce!
as you know there is the box of the HobbyBoss that I hurried to buy on the internet … convinced to find a vehicle at least comparable to the old Merkava of the Tamiya … but no …
the hull features non-slip plates that look like reactive armor
-

details simply not puttable
-
and the walls that bring thickness where it is not needed …
-

following other idiots before me I chose, before the bitterness took off, I decided to add the box with … the good leopard 2a5 tamiya
other merchandise …
-
of which practically the entire hull is used apart from the rear
which instead comes from the hobby boss …

and what do I do with the rest ???
in demolition I had just the pieces of an Italeri Leopard2 … never assembled that had been waiting for a destination for several years (my older son had already set them up to make it a spaceship …)
go! we make a nice leopard 2 a4 … maybe Finnish … (we do not miss anything …)
-

and that’s just the beginning … [

I’m gonna follow this.

It brings back memories. Twelve years ago i built the “E” version which i bought on vacation in Sevilla. Endless hours of removing and redoing the anti slip areas…

Till this day i’m hoping to get my hands on a HKCW conversion.

smazz ‘o’mazz’
so the hull of Tamiya Leopard became a STRV122 and a Hobby boss strv122 became a …Leopard

to make the vehicle that interests me you have to change the positions of the rear lights
clearly the rear tamiya is mounted in the hobbyboss / italeri …

since the grids of the Italian model are a bit simplified I inserted the hobby boss hood … putting in some reinforcement. …
even the front armor must be retouched …
to the next step
