There is something on top here, but I can’t make out what…a hatch?

I kept an eye out for it for you, but none to be found yet. I did get a lot better DVH A1 photos this time…

Although the Dragoon version has a raised roof, you might be better off starting with it, Unless you want to design the left hand stowagw bin. The M1126 does not have the notch over the electrical hatch, resulting in a different hole arrangement on the bin as well. You can always cut off the roof.

It seemed easier to cut away the roof behind the commander hatch on the Trumpeter M1126 kit and put in a new roof for the turret.

So I went down that road.

It’s overall the same Stryker If my eyes don’t trick me.
The 2 hatches are still behind the turret but they are turned 90 degrees with the hatches backwards.

Only thing I can’t seem to find is a pictures of the topside of the turret.
But I’m pretty sure there is a hatch there.

And am I wrong, but can’t the turret fire backwards?
There is a big thing on the rear right side of the roof near the bottom of the turret. Check it out.
It’s like a closed vent, pipe or something.

The Dragoon gives you upgraded hatches on the left side, and the notched bin. See circles.

Nice work. Anyone know whether the new A1/DVH hull + new 30mm turret will have different name to the original flat-bottomed, Kongsberg-turreted Dragoon?

Teaser time…

2 more prints to go and I can build the MCWS when the M1126 kit arrives.

Very happy with the result, almost done with printing.
I designed some Javelin also.
The baseplate for the turret is also good.
Just need to test it when the M1126 arrives.

Edit: the baseplate fit other Stryker models.

All the parts to convert a “Trumpeter 1/35 M1126 Stryker 00375” to a “Oshkosh Stryker A1 MCWS” minus a few small details.

But I’m sure 90% of the spectators won’t notice those.

Just got the new kit from the mailman and I’m off building the Stryker MCWS.
It appears Trumpeter remade the old 00375 kit, but everything fits.
Notice what you need to remove to make the parts fit, should you want to buy a set.

Amazing work!

Regarding your engine deck parts, do you have to cut away any part of the kit upper hull?
