This has probably already been said (didn’t read every reply here), but yes, the accepted wisdom is that cement will not work on painted parts. Use super glue.
BUT….
In my experience, if the paint is very thin overspray from an airbrush (common on aircraft interiors) Tamiya extra thin will do fine. That’s what I use when fitting cockpit assemblies into the fuselage for example, because even if the bond isn’t great, nothing is going anywhere.
if I need a strong bond (fuselage halves) I use a sanding stick or knife to remove the paint. If it’s a larger non-load-bearing subassembly that still might work itself free (and removing paint isn’t an option), I use super glue.
Confusing enough?

Had to bite on this one.
The emdash thing has been thoroughly debunked—I use them all the time for example. Perhaps it’s a legal writing thing—Lord knows we don’t write well—but it’s more common than you think.
Usually a better giveaway is “straight” quotes and apostrophes instead of the correct ones. Dead giveaway for a copy/paste job. That and suddenly the neighborhood idiot sounds like a professor—or at least a robot professor.

I’m writing from experience here. Most of the students in my last classes didn’t know what they were. And those few who did didn’t know how to type them. Older guys like you and me obviously know. It’s a generational thing – at least from what I’ve seen at the graduate level these days.

I have noticed that MS Word sometimes decides to convert hyphens to a slightly longer dash.
I do not type two hyphens very often, the use of the longer dashes is not really part of Swedish typography and the English we were taught in school did not include that kind of writing tricks.

Reducing the chances AI is involved in writing a paper. Go old-school. When writing a paper, I required no less than 20 sources. There must be multiple types of sources. I made a sheet to go with each resource. The resource information needed for the bibliography went at the top of the page. Information from the source must be hand written on the sheet with page numbers, time frames and any other information needed to specifically identify the location within the source where the information used could be found. The paper itself had to be properly footnoted. A bibliography had to be included along with a rough draft that had to be edited by someone else and signed. After doing all of this work, the paper almost wrote itself. The killer is making them do the note pages by hand. The AI cannot know what is in the note pages so a quick check at the notes and rough draft quickly turns out an AI user. Some will try and use AI for the final paper thinking I will not check (I do) but the effort on collecting notes forces them to have enough material to be able to write the paper and the editing gets them over the grammar challenges they might have.
