Metallic detail has released a Main & Nose Wheel Bays, Landing Gear Struts, Wheels & Lower Engine Nacelles set for the 1:48 scale B-29 Superfortress
As the kit still resides in the “waiting to be built” pile (aside from the one I built as a kid) this set looks like a must have.
Nice detail set and glad the 29 is getting some love. However, with those added details rest of the wing looks plain vanilla. The kit will need some serious face lift to match the details or they will look out of place. After all most B-29 were aluminum finish that these details will stand out like a soar thumb with a wash. Just my 2 cents worth.
