Well, I think that’s just great. I remember this from those little recognition pocket books one could buy, like a Jane’s in miniature (may well have been Jane’s for all I can remember) and this tank was there clogging up the pages, and I remember cursorily flipping over the pages, sometimes thinking, “I don’t suppose there’ll ever be a model of that”.
And here we are; a reasonable price as well; nice to see they’ve allowed for a crew to be positioned as well.
Almost, almost tempted to get one myself(!)

That makes two of us, Brian! Never thought I’d see one of these!
I mean, we all still whinge and the topic of “What I’d like to see in 2026/2027” ad nauseum is always full to bursting (to be honest often with the densely obscure), and then something like this comes along! I almost feel duty bound to get one (ditto the Hacheka AMX 10P come to that)!

Yes, I know what you mean! Sort of, “I’ve wanted one of these for years, so why don’t I just get one”!!
I am the guy who comissioned the model, I’m currently working on the test version, I can assure you V&K made fantastic job on this model

It depends when Jan is able to incorporate the modifications after I gave him the drawing.

The changes should be fairly quick to implement. I still have to make the decals and wait for the boxart to be finished. If all goes well, I should start sending out preorders before the end of the month.

Sounds great! Do you plan to do later versions, like Panzer 68/88 as from my pictures? The model will make a great companion to my Panzer 55/57 Centurion and Panzer 87 Leopard models. I also look for a model of SchĂĽtzenpanzer 2000 a.k.a. CV9030. This would include a new hull for the HobbyBoss kit.

Hi Jan, if it´s not too much, a set of generic decals for Swiss tanks will be helpful. I can provide the references for this.

I am thinking of making the Panzer 68/88 and potencially the Panzer 61, as both share a majority of the parts with the Panzer 68. But I have to finish some other projects that have been on the backburner for too long before then. A conversion of a HobbyBoss kit to the SchĂĽtzenpanzer 2000 would be an interesting project, as it would be a first for me. But right now I cant say if I will ever make it. Without trying to promote myself too much, I do offer to make model kits as commisions (the Panzer 68 was a commision) so if you really want some of these that is a possibility.

I include decals in all my new kits, so the Panzer 68 kit will include them as well.
