T-62 'dozer'

There used to be this set, discontinued :

Lagend LF1313 could be a possibility but the price is getting close to the
dozer from Miniart (with a complete tank thrown in as extra sprues)

There is one in Sterling, Virginia (31 bucks + shipping)

Half the price compared to Sprue Brothers Miniart 37044 (blade + complete Tiran 4 Sharir tank …):

Here is a very good book on this subject, I can only recommend it to every model builder. It contains very good photos and descriptions, even if the author has confused the KMT-4 and KMT-6 in places. Unfortunately there is no kit for the KMT-4 mine clearing device, you have to build it yourself. It actually belongs to the KMT-5. Here are a few more pictures.

Is that a boat or amphibious vehicle underneath that tank? I see windows…that’s got to be one massive hull to float a tank. What is it?

This is a GSP armored ferry with a load capacity of 52 tons. It consists of a left and a right half-ferry. This would be a very interesting model.

Thanks Gino and Joachim! That’s a cool thing!

Robin: You da man! I now have the proper BTU-55 dozer set on the way. I guess I need to build another T-62 now.
Joachim, thanks for the info and cool pics. I’ll look for the book too, looks good!
Edit: found the book easily enough, it’s on my watch list as $40 is a wee bit pricey at the moment.

It’s great that you’ve decided to build the T-62 with BTU again, you won’t regret this decision. If I can give you some advice, use a kit without the anti-aircraft machine gun on the turret. In the years when the T-62 with anti-aircraft machine gun was available, I didn’t see a vehicle with a BTU. I would advise you to use the model from Zvezda. You can make the missing screw strips on the bow yourself and compensate for any differences to the BTU. The price of the kit is also right. Here are a few pictures.

Which mine roller is this?

KMT-7.

The one made by Miniart is slightly different, without the
reinforced corners:
Miniart:

Alex Kontz has this design on Turbosquid
Note the beefier corners …

I’ve started a build thread on this as it looks like I may actually finish it.
