You had me there, I thought that this was the 1/16th kit, and that I wouldn’t have to do a build on it. This is excellent work and since it isn’t the 1/16th. Das Werk kit it looks like I’ll have to do a build .
The kit is due next Wednesday and I’ll be starting it soon after. I just hope I can do as good a gob on it as you are here.

Yes I have seen them, and while I do desire them, Unfortunately I can’t justify putting all that money into one small project. I’ll be doing the build mostly out of the Box. I held off on getting the kit, because it is a safe bet that they will be doing Rommels GRIEF, that’s the one I really want.

Just wanted to chime in and say how much fun it is to follow this build.
This build is patient and very clean.
Also, I love the heavy mg mount! Which dragon kit is that from? I would hope they’re still available or an updated version exists. It’s such a facinating mount and I love seeing them in photos, but got the impression they’re from early SPW 250’s and 251’s.
Does anyone know the official name of this mount? I’d like to read up more on its use.
We’re all enjoying the build/post and look forward to the progress.

Off hand I don’t know the name of the mount but its covered in or of the Panzer Tracts books on the Sdkfz 251.
It came from a Dragon Sdkfz 251 kit and I bought the tree on ebay.
