TAMIYA KI-84 Hayate (1/48) - 11th Sentai, Luzon, Philippines (1945)

Hey folks! I’d like to share my current WIP - Tamiya’s venerable KI-84 Hayate. Markings are for the 11th Sentai based in Luzon, Philippines during 1945. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful Hayate! Well done! :+1:
Looks very realistic for a war weary bird “Gimme a rest!” I have built a Hasegawa Ki-84 years ago, but without any weathering.

Thanks Charles! I’m glad you liked it

Thanks Torsten! Yeah, I kinda like the war-weary look too - it makes the kit much more interesting. I saw a photo of the real kit after I finished her and she does look like she’s been through a lot. I might replicate the chipping on her tail to give it a more unique feeling.
