I am working on the Tamiya Kit Marder III M Normandie and have a question:
Step 10. Parts G44 and G45. What are these?? They look like aiming stakes.
All built modeld have them painted a nondescrip wood color.

I would guess that they are the rods that get screwed together to make a long rod for cleaning the main gun.
Aiming stakes are used for indirect fire (howitzers or mortars), the Marder III lacks the elevation for indirect fire so there would not be much purpose in aiming stakes
