Here are some impressions of my Tamiya Schwimmwagen build. I went out of my comfort zone to build this cool vehicle from the pictures I took recently.

Very nice. I will be adding a Schwimmwagen to my build list. I’ve already build a Tamiya Kubelwagen, and working on a Rye Field Type 82E right now. The Schwimmwagen will definitely complete that side of my armor collection.
How is the Kübelwagen kit?
I was a breeze to build. Typical Tamiya ease of building. Came together with little to no problem. Plenty of space for an aftermarket resin engine compartment. I’ve been pleased with Tamiya’s most recent offerings. I’ve built their new Kettenkrad with trailer, their Italian Front Wespe and their new M3 Stuart and all these kits were just a pleasure to build.
The Kubelwagen has two versions, the one I built and a DAK version with the balloon tires. Highly recommend it.
