I make notes on the instruction sheet and I write the numbers in pencil on some parts if they are left/right-handed or similar to other parts. Sometimes I’ll leave the bit of sprue with the number still attached.
You definitely have to stay organized to do it this way.
Worked on my Takom Tiger I Mid. Put down the secondary color and once that has cured a bit a filter to blend the two and then I can work on the tracks, OEM, and whatnot that needs individual attention. Going to try and get it all done over the weekend and start the base. Then I’ll start assembling the other two Tigers I have waiting.
What can I say, this build has been the trickiest so far. I had to repaint the whole kit 3 times after not being happy with the outcome. Watched a few extremely helpful videos, experimented with chipping fluid for the first time and used the “new” Tamiya German tri colour camo (XF-88/89/90). Pre-dusting tracks, wheels, exhausts are done at least.
I forgot to sand down the two bits of styrene I plugged the holes behind the fenders with… so a little touching up will be in order.
now for the craziness… Dragon tracks are indy links, but with solid guidehorns. As these Initial Tigers were some of the few that actually had handed tracks it is not a matter of just swapping them out. So, I am drilling out the links… last link on the right is ’ au naturel":
I got the broder verison, I intend to do 123 in winter scheme. From dragon, I’ll have a late and a africa campaign tiger, I also have the porsche variant.
Great details on your tigers . A bit more progress here .
