VERY nice job Rene! Is that a light green camouflage color I see?

Thank you, the coloring is done as RAL 8000 (RC063) and RAL 7028 (RC061).

I wanted to add some variety so the uniforms wouldn’t be monotonous  .

RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb? Why would it have that?

I mean, these Tigers got so dusty that you could put almost any brown on your model… but did somebody specify 7028 ?

I drew from literature, specifically AK - interactive AK187 - Real Colors of WWII …

I see on closer look that the driver is wearing a half zip pullover sweater. At first I thought it was a Panzer troop waist coat. Yeah, anything might be worn to keep warm like the plaid or brightly colored scarves many used for dust protection.

Really!

I don’t have that book, but if it says that Tigers went to Africa painted with Dunkelgelb, that’s a serious mistake.

So you can report this error … :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Real Colors does not state that Tigers were sent to North Africa in Dunkelgelb. In fact, it has a profile that shows a Tiger painted in RAL 8000 & RAL 7008.

With regards to Dunkelgelb, it simply has a generic statement that says it is unknown if any vehicles made it to Tunisia painted in the new scheme (given the February order date and the May capitulation date).

Correct; the color he needed was 7008 gray green not 7028. Otherwise as jfeenstra described.
