Hello there

i am doing the Tamiya model kit of 1/35 Type 74

and the instructions tell me that I don’t need a heated pin or screwdriver, I just need to use the Extra Thin Cement and then clip off the pins

and then use a stapler?

is this right or wrong

The new(er) cementable Tamiya tracks stay together pretty well. No need for a stapler.

But do I still need a heated metal piece like a pin or screwdriver to attach it?

No.
You only need styrene glue/cement.
