Super update mate. The cable fix is the perfect solution and looks totally realistic. ![]()
Nice fix with those cables ![]()

Great work with the blade and the cables Olivier !!
Thank you for the comment.
Today I sprayed the base color. I needed nearly half a Tamiya jar and I’m glad I didn’t not glued the crane, the stowage bin and the wading trunk. I really don’t know how you can paint the full kit. I probably should have let the blade free to move too.
Olivier
I need to start taking notes on this one, it’s not an easy kit, but you are making a superb work Olivier.
That’s one of the great things about a forum like this rather than, say, someone’s FB page . You can search back as far as you want and the information will be there.
I have applied the base color to the separate sub-assemblies. They are in place just for the pictures.
I first used XF-67 then I sprayed a lighter shade with a mix of XF-67 and XF-15.
Olivier
Very nice tone with the 67 + 15 mix
Nice color Olivier !
Thank you all.
Unfortunately this build is over as I made a big mistake during the crane assembly. I glued a kind of chariot with 4 pulleys in a certain position which now prevents the arm of the crane to rest in the proper position. This is my fault however Trumpeter do not warn you about this risk.
Yesterday after I took the picture above I applied a glossy coat to apply the decals on the crane. Then I painted the various details.
Today I glued all the sub-assemblies to the hull with the intention to begin the weathering when I noticed the mistake with the crane.
Anyway here are the last pictures I’ll post of this kit.
Here is the mistake. The pulleys should be more on the left so closer to the crane base.

[A beautiful model, slightly different from the previous BREM-1. Very good work.
Thanks for sharing, hopefully it will help other modelers.
I think you should continue but that is me.
Great looking model, I don’t think anybody will ever notice the diffence… except you and who ever reads this topic, but they will (most likely) never see the model in reality.. but it still looks great!! Be a real shame to not finish it..
@bwilt, beautiful work!
I don’t usually see Russian recovery vehicles frequently.
Thank you for the support. I think I’ll let it apart for some time and maybe apply some weathering when the motivation is back.
Olivier
Its a really nice clean build Olivier, and the issue is one I nor anyone else apart from an expert in Russian recovery vehicles. I think if you leave it for a while, then go back to it when you feel ready and finish the weathering. You put to much hard work into making it look so nice.
Great looking model. I like recovery vehicles
Olivier, it’s a fantastic build.
I think it looks great.
I hope you will get the motivation you need to get it finished.
Oliver, I can only give you the good advice to continue building immediately, otherwise the model will find its final resting place in the model graveyard. I speak from my own experience, and you’ve really built a good model. I’ve experienced the difficulties with the model myself. But you can make something out of it. So, we want to see your finished model soon! I’m looking forward to your next project.
Best regards from Germany
