Two more Sherman A3’s....and a turret swap

Decided to go with the tied down radio antenna and the open smoke mortar that was indicative of the earlier T23 turrets. Also, I’m something of a hinge queen, so the stock ones got cut off, thrown across the room, and new ones fab’d from stupidly small copper wire.

Very nice. The meng kit is quite nice.

It’s a good kit. The turret is at least on par with the RFM. Still needs proper casting surfaces. The casting identifiers are a tad on the light side, they are rather pronounced on the RFM turret. I was happy to see that they included the gun breech, something RFM left out completely which caused balancing issues as well. The ventilation system did not line up at all, the male ends on the part were too big for the female receptors on the turret (hehe :joy:) It was a very nice addition to include two different smoke mortars as well as two options for antenna mounts. It also comes with two different barrel configurations, the M1A1C, threaded and capped or the M1A1 with no threaded for a brake.
