You have a pre-2001 styrene kit with PE and barrel? What is it? Kind of misses the point of the build.
How “much” of a kit does one have to build to earn a badge for this campaign? If I build ONE vintage 1/35 DML figure from an old figure kit, would that qualify me for a badge? Or do I have to build the entire kit of four DML figures? (I don’t believe I have all four figures due to kitbashing back in the 1990s. I may have some leftovers to make a single figure perhaps). Thanks in advance.

No, but Gunze Sagyo released kits with those parts as far back as the 80s.

Sorry Peter but you have to build what comes in the box. If it’s 4 figures, you have to build 4 figures. If it’s 2 planes, you have to build both planes.

If you want to build a collectable boutique Gunze kit for this campaign, go for it.
I’ll be doing the Matchbox Strikemaster. Decals look good. Might do the New Zealand scheme.

I’ve got an ancient Italeri Land Rover kit that I bought nearly 50 years ago - is that old enough? 
I’m planning on doing it as one of those safari-park rides, with black & white zebra stripes. Should be as OOB as can be, other than NOT using the old perished decals!

Please add me to the group. I’ve got the Monogram 1/48 P-38 Lightning whose origin is from 1964. I am using this in another group build using the same materials and techniques from the same time frame … tube glue and brush paint or spray can. I’m looking forward to it. Built it back in ‘72.

Trimaster kits like the Fw190D-9 came with PE and metal gear struts back in the late 80’s. There were probably other pre-2001 kits that came with PE, resin, and/or white metal too. Probably need to decide if you want to limit it to kits before a certain date only, or also limit it to plastic only kits, because aftermarket in kits goes back longer than 25 years.

I remember building that kit in the 70s! Took a lot of clay in the nose to avoid being a tail-sitter…

I know there are ribbons for these campaigns. At least I think you still do that. How about a device on the riboon for the person who submits the oldest finished kit in the alloted time? Like an hourglass or a falling leaf.

I like that idea, a lot. Unfortunately, when Jim awards the ribbons it is a group action, so it would be impossible to give one person a different ribbon.
He could treat it as a separate award.
