I’ve got two books on my list:

The Forgotten 500. A 77 year old woman just loaned it to me. Her father is mentiond in it. He was a B-24 pilot.

And Snake-Eater, by Don Bendell. His son is also SF and a member of the MC I’m in.

Not read recently but a great book about the Berlin airlift, The Candy Bombers. Well researched, well written, and the author actually ties in the airlift to the events of 9/11. Very moving and inspirational.

Got some books recently and have now read the first one which was very interesting.

Even found out that one of the unfinished engineless VK4502 (P) prototypes was fitted with one of the Krupp turrets designed for the Tiger (P) and rolled into position to be used as a road bloke knocking out a couple of Soviet tanks.

Also got these although it appears Vol.1 is made out of unobtainium.

And something to keep my flyboy self interested

These Ammo of Mig books, are they as good as I imagine? I have a lot of magazines from them, they are really good; solution books, weathering magazine and more

Just finished this. Interesting but a little dull. Not much action, some humor.

Marco, I’ve only flicked through them so far, but they are full of photos of German vehicles in the Italian campaign. Each book is themed with Vol.1 featuring the Tiger and Elefant probably why I can’t find a copy anywhere.

Have you had time to go through it? How does it compare to the Restayn volume?

It seems you write many reviews, where can I find them?

Most of them are on the Armorama page. At the top of that page click on Reviews, when that opens click on Publications, when that opens go to one of my reviews and click on my name Harv, that will show the reviews that I have written. I have some on the Model Shipwrights page as well. You can also go to the archived site and go to the old Armorama page and go to the reviews towards the bottom middle of the page and I have several there as well.

Thank you for the interest.

Enjoying this one. Much more than I did the Star Trek.

Only about half way through, but noticed a few things that didn’t make the final cut of the film. The India encounter also plays out different here. Interesting to see what else is different by the end.
If anyone’s a fan of the sci-fi movies of this era, I recommend it.
