What are you reading

Picked this one up during our holiday to the island a couple of weeks ago. Only had chance for a quick flick through but it looks good.

After my heart break of suffering through season 1, I thought I would see if Season 2 improved… But alas I was only doomed to more biblical pain and mental anguish that the abomination which is The Rings of Power is proving to offer …
So, I have had to go back to source and to real Lore and what it’s meant to be like …

Let the healing begin

I’m doing a similar thing with Game of Thrones I love the books and am finally making myself watch the show.

Seasons pan out slightly differently towards the end as Mr Martin was such a slow writer they had to crack on for the final seasons with artistic licence and direction from him during filming … Still one of the top series of all time though.

Except for the ending.

Night time reading, an old book printed 1979.

Not much has changed so far.

True, that did let it down a bit … Just like Lost… Although not as bad …

Just picked this up only about a chapter in so far, it’s a great read I haven’t found much in the way of Korean war Armor books.

Have started Chicken Hawk by Robert Mason. The story is about Masons journey to become a helicopter pilot. He becomes a Warrant Officer and soon is on his way to a new helicopter unit that was part of an experimental unit but soon they become First Cav and are sent to Vietnam in 1965. You ride along with him on his many adventures while on his tour in Vietnam.

If you haven’t read it already, put it on your to read list.

Happy Reading

I just finished rereading “Six Frigates” by Ian Toll and I’m currently reading “Masters of the Air” by Donald Miller. I’d recommend both books to anyone who enjoys reading about history.

I haven’t ever seen a title focusing on the Allies using German equipment. The US 83rd Infantry Division was famous for their use of captured German vehicles and armor and adding them to their inventory. Doing so earned them the nickname “Rag-Tag Circus”. There are books about that unit that might show pictures of the captured vehicles.
