Thanks, there’s just a chance it got in via the open roof section of the M2 tower while I was ‘brushing the roof. In which case I may have to disassemble the cab roof to even get to it. I’ll take a closer look tomorrow. I may opt instead to weather the windshield to match the side windows, that’ll be a nice little challenge.

Finished my entry for the Tamiya Tribute campaign; 1966 Karmann-Ghia.
All paint is Tamiya or Vallejo Model Color. Color is VW Java Green with a black interior.

True! I use this for decades now. Works with all acrylic paints. Also Tamiya and Gunze.
I have continued building when i have chance.
I decided to build up the wheels. They consist of 3 parts , 2 tire halves with rims mounted and a Hub/brake drum assembly.
I then chucked it up in my drill and tried to add a little wear, and Vallejo black spray paint coat.
I also did a little oil paint dry brushing on the interior side. Be very careful, the plastic will break if you get too aggressive.
Hope to do a little more today. I broke a piece that goes on the last visor , and need to rebuild before closing up the hull.

Not yet finished but my Saladin is on a good way to the display cabinet. Some little touch ups here and there and some more detail painting but I’m quite happy with the result so far. Both mirrors took a break and will join the party later again … 
One step backwards yesterday. Hopefully one forward today. I didn’t plan my masking well and managed to get some Vallejo on the inside of the M548 cab windows. Quite the task removing the cab, gun ring and engine cover to remedy the problem. On the way to replacing them but only after the Red Earth camo is applied.

I’m planning to build this as part of a truck, trailer combo for the Let’s Get Hitched campaign
I am wondering how you did the 3ft extension to the frame this model needs? I don’t believe it comes with the HL set. I’m also hoping to get a set of the more commonly-used12.00 wheels from Steel Oxide
I haven’t built the kit, but have stretched other frames. I used C channel styrene from Evergreen or Plastruct. Cut the frame where needed, add a piece of the same-sized C channel as the frame cut to the length you need and you are set. To make the joint strong, I add a piece of 0.30 styrene on the inside on the frame that overlaps the joint by 3-4mm to reinforce them. Works great every time.
Thanks Gino, I’ve shortened a frame before but it’ll soon be time to lengthen one or two.

***ETA As it turns out I opened the box (don’t like to do this normally in case I want to sell the kit) and Lo! HL has included two choices for the extended frame. A one-piece section that would slot in place and two separate frame rails - with a third as a spare.

The build phase of my RFM Sturmtiger is finally complete. I started this last year for the Tiger Battalion campaign, but, mainly due to my own procrastination and lack of focus it stalled.
After finishing the Kate, I picked up the glove and continued to build. Now for (further) priming and painting.

Moving on with the M548. Everything is still dry fit after the necessary repaint and now I’ve got all 4 colours on.
Tomorrow should see a final go around on the camo and then making background panels for the bumper codes.
Next step will be weathering, a Matt coat, then tie downs and loading the (US Light Green) pump deck into the carrier.
