What is the best base color to use for late Panther G tracks

I use Tamiya a lot but what is the closest match for Panther late tracks off the showroom floor. Thank you

Steel grey, no rust.

I use Tamiya XF-84 Dark Iron and work from there.

I use AK 3rd Gen Burnt Umber for the base coat, but for new tracks as you mentioned I would probably go with a black.

For Almost All Tracks, I just use Burnt Umber

Copy so maybe the base coat doesn’t matter it seems. Thanks
