I’m close to the finish line on a build, the bulk of the remaining tasks relate to adding tools…..
I’ve got about 10 or 12 clasps to make for those tools, and i’ve done about 4. I have a love / hate relationship with voyager photo-etch clasps. I love the look and sense of achievement - but hate the time they take! I reckon they take me 20 or 30 minutes each.
Anyone got any experience with any easier to assemble clasps than voyagers?
What’s everyone’s go to?
Do 3D printed clasps survive?!?! they look like they would break at any opportunity…
This is for a german WW2 AFV.

I use a wide variety of 3d printed clamps and the issue is that finding the right size is tough. Most of the resin they use is quite flexible, and will stand quite a bit of handling, but Ii also had ones that break apart if you look at them too hard. Have you tried the Jennys PE clamps from Passion models? I also had quite a good experience with Lion roar PE clamps.
But overall 3d printed look the part and are the quickest solution but you need quite a few different ones to cover all your needs, PE is a pain, but looks the best and is workable if you do it right.

Like you say, PE clamps are insanely difficult to assemble and get right. I was gluing them together for years, after making workable ones once. That was enough for me. I’d glue them together, then slip it on the tool and glue.
Now I use 3D printed tool clasps exclusively. I have found that TRex and JB are excellent ones, and come in different sizes in the box. You get a good amount for the money, too. They are very easy to use. Just saw them off the fret, put them on the tool, and glue. Easy.
