Most did, but usually only on the sloping front transmission and engine deck. Sometimes on the left rear mudguard too.

When parts got replaced, they often didn’t get the anti-slip applied for some time (if at all). It would be more correct to apply some form of faux anti-slip to the kit.

No, no, no noooo!
Wife got it for you. Show that you really appreciated the gesture by building it a.s.a.p.

If she starts thinking that you may not have appreciated it 100% she might not make the
effort the next time and that would really be a pity.
Appreciation encourages repeated behaviour …

I agree with Robin. @Harv I would at least build something from the set, a horse or the wagon. You got the golden ticket, don’t throw it away.

Thank you for the suggestions guys, but that isn’t a worry with my wife. We have been together for 35 years and married for 33 years, it is a good marriage. We do things like that for each other all the time. She has her hobbies and interests, and I have mine and we are always finding things for each other, and we don’t always use the stuff right away. Once she found me a box of scale model railroad accessories, most of them made by Woodland Scenics. Another time she found me a Tamiya M16 Halftrack and a Tamiya M21 Halftrack at a garage sale. And she has also found me books on armor and things like that. Gotta love a woman that supports your model addiction.

Thanks,
Randy

Just to be clear … It’s the 40th present you got for your birthday or it’s the present you got for your 40th birthday?

A recent Sprue Brothers Lighting Deal allowed me to pick up three more models on my want list.

For the upcoming Tiger campaign.

For the anti-aircraft wing of the model museum.

For the scouting wing of the model museum.

It is a nice book and it is loaded with illustrations. I just happened to see it while looking through the books and I am glad that I did. It is a welcome addition to my personal library. :books:

Thank you,

My order from Accurate Armor came in recently. A few odds and ends like carbon fibre aerials and securing chains and these two, bought as a combi kit…

Love the look of the Charioteer.

I had hoped to secure an order for a Chieftain ARV or ARRV (either would make me happy) but alas they are showing as not available at the moment. Same with the Conqueror and Challenger ARV’s. :frowning:
