What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Now Erwin, I could really take that the wrong way and have to call you outside!
But no, the gifted kit doesn’t count toward the embargo.

I am outside. And now?
Well, that is a nice way to dodge the bullet then…

Fresh off the Mail box. The kit comes with a beautiful print of the vehicle, just like AFV Club does on some of their kits. The kit comes with an aluminum barrel, 3D printed muzzle brake and periscope guards.

Kits includes five distinct markings; including one representing the 761st Tank Bn (the first all-black tank regiment in the US Army) along with a German captured model.

Seeing all these really makes me want to get back to finishing my Scammel.

This past Saturday was Modelzona and I picked up these three items from the vendors.

I had been looking for the Ambulance for many years, and this one was reasonably priced. And the Scorpion was a real bargain, comic with a set of Fruil tracks. The Miniart figures were just a great additional useful find.

Another eBay find…

These tracks, purchased from a kit breaker, come from a Techmod Panzer II Ausf. L Luchs. Tooled in 1998, they feature pretty good definition and zero ejector pin marks.

The plan is to fit these to a Tasca Panzer II Ausf. L Luchs, sitting in my closet since approximately 2005, for the Got Hitched campaign. :slightly_smiling_face:

Spruebrothers.com 20% off sale last weekend on Dragon kits combined w/tariffs uncertainty, equaled a shopping spree!

I think the stash of 36 Pz IV kits will cover my niche interest …for now.

Joking aside, very happy the AK markers were available. They are popular and had sold out a couple of other online vendors.

Edit - Today just kept getting better!

Shipment #2 arrived from Ebay.

Passed on this kit back in the day and they are harder to find now. The kit was always on my “buy some day” list. Felt some nostalgia pull after learning the owners of MP Model & Chesapeake Model Design had passed away. Bill & Tom brought a lot of joy to many modelers over the years.

Happy to add to the stash.

Edit - 3rd shipment arrived!

I don’t like Dragon but…the pretty picture sold the kit…

Thanks to this spiffy Das Amusing Hobby Werk’s kit my old crappy Revell kit will get liquidated.

Cheers :beers:

Not the postman, as I went out and got these myself:

I went on a trip to the Overloon war museum today, and in the museum shop came across a good number of AFV Profiles booklets from the early 1970s. I bought four that I think I didn’t already own (which is harder than it seems, because I have nearly the entire series). As they cost a euro each, I’m not all that concerned about buying doubles  At the model shop across from the museum, I also picked up two sets of useful crew figures.
