Fully agree with NIH.
Yeah, they were fixated on Ford for some reason. So far I’ve kitbashed the Raytheon and GE versions, and will eventually do the full set.
If you’re not into reading the YouTube channel The Fat Electrician does a great short video on it. This guy is a hilarious historian and I recomend his channel to all military interested people.
I just looked it up, and wow, that guy’s way of presenting gets on my nerves fast … From skimming the video and watching for a few minutes near the end (the important part), though, he just reiterates the common knowledge about the M247.
Yeah, he’s not for everybody but he has really refined the research that he does and his later videos I think are more in depth and cleaner.
Arrived end of last week before I went away to a show for the weekend. Made use of the discount offered to Armorama members.
If only Brian, in and out of hospital the last couple of months and again in a couple of weeks, my modelling mojo has taken a real hammering. Normally when I attend shows I’ll beaver away behind our stand and have something almost ready for paint by the end of the show. This show nothing, narder, nought, only got my knife out to open one of the purchases, and glue to make a small repair before the show opened.
Had several days off and just stare at the bench as though it’s something alien. Plan yes, research yes, build no.
Yeah - welcome to my world - re the ever capricious Mojo that is - not illness.
A few weeks ago I bought an ancient Itaelerei kit of the Crusader cruiser tank, now the most recent reissue of it because I can’t get myself to build a kit that’s been untouched for almost fifty years. Plus some odds and ends for generic use.
Got a good number of parts from @Petition2God, some of them shown below. Some of his best work to date.
Highly recommend if you have a printer or be hitting his cult3d page.
Got this today off Ebay. Paid more than I wanted to, but for what’s there and chances of it being available again, I guess it is worth it. Wayne
Parcel waiting for me when I got home from work today.
Made use of a large loyalty reward and a discount!
Now to try and find an old Tamiya Land Rover ambulance
Postman didn’t bring it, I found it at a second-hand book market:
A Dutch-language edition of The British Army of to-day (I’m guessing that’s the original title — it’s what the one on the cover translates as, anyway), published May 1945 ![]()
Added some friul tracks for my BT-7 build. The tamiya ones have some annoying punch marks to deal with and are link and length, so no bueno. Also decided to add some French armor
Both from Andy’s! Don’t know much about the AMX-30 but I like the look of it
It’s the French counterpart to the Leopard 1, developed as part of the same programme before the three countries involved (Italy also took part) went their separate ways.
