What the postman brought today (Modelgeek)

thanks G-Man! It’s a mixed media piece with graphics, styrene and printed resin bits. If I do it right it should be awesome (if my skills are up to it anyway lol)

Son of Frankenstein, Boris Karloff, from Geometric. My first vinyl kit. I picked it up at a show last weekend.

I picked up another set of these little dudes. Cannot have enough of these little dudes running around on the bench top

got the Atreides ornithopter from the new Dune movie. The right scale, great detail.
But how big it is…

in two evenings it was collected dry, I could not resist:). In the future, I will disassemble and perform a full-fledged assembly on glue with painting.

Looks interesting Ivan, how big is it?

Hello. Yes, it is BIG. About 30 cm long and 42 in wingspan. The TIE-Fighter looks like a baby next to it.

@Harv, any idea what this is? I bought this set and I’m building the big guy and his girlfriend that will be eating his guts instead of the lower leg she is holding in the box art.

Looks like a block of concrete that was used to anchor the pole the figure is holding it by — a makeshift mace.

Funny, I thought the same thing.

I don’t. I had two ideas come to mind. I had the same thought that Sean did of it possibly being concrete and a pole/post pulled from the ground. Or, since the box art shows a sledgehammer, maybe it is a mold mistake and instead of a sledgehammer they ended up with the mystery weapon.

Sorry, I just don’t know. I have to plead zombie ignorance. :zombie: :man_zombie: :woman_zombie: :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

 I often get that as well.

After studying these calculations https://pdhonline.com/courses/s235/s235content.pdf
Yeah, it’s probably a pole and foundation as you describe.

I had this set arrive today from Squadron MMD. Did need it…probably not…but in the long run…does that really matter!!!

I didn’t realize that there were two versions of the set and so now I need to order the other set. And then I found out that Pegasus also makes models of the Aerial Hunter and Hunter Killer Tank …so now I need to get those as well.

A slippery slope for sure, even reading these postal deliveries is dangerous for the wallet.

Yes, and they’re also 1/32 which is close enough to 1/35 for all practical purposes

I had this one arrive today.

The original 1933 movie with Claude Rains is one of my favorite movies and so I decided to buy a model of the Invisible Man to add to the collection.

Wow… 2 hours and nobody has posted a picture of an empty shelf and described how well the kit went together.

Cheers,
Colin

Edit: Sorry all, couldn’t resist.

One could do a variant on the “Submerged Submarine” sea base: a base with the full gamut of foliage and effects, featuring a pair of footprints…
