Another Bandai 30 Minute Missions kit, this time an upgrade pack.
The pack contains one small sprue of pieces intended for use kit bashing with other 30 Minute Missions kits. If you remember Micronauts or Zoids, these are way more sophisticated versions of those. All the parts glue with normal model cement.
In my opinion, these are excellent source parts for custom spacecraft. The two sphere things are perfect as fuel tanks.
There is a similar series of custom parts for 1/144 Gundam models. Those will also make fantastic spaceship parts. In particular, look for part packs with “Thruster” in the title.
If you are into 6 inch figure models, look at the 30 Minute Mission, Armored Core, and Gundam weapon packs. There is some really interesting stuff out there.

Oh, look. Another robot.
The box was sprayed with some kind of disinfectant by the mail carrier. It burned my lungs pretty good so the box and instructions went straight into the trash. This is the official photo from Bandai.

A couple of things have landed over the last few days.
Firstly a set of decals for the Polar Lights 1/1000 Enterprise refit. PL’s decals can sometimes be a bit fragile, so thought it best save myself the headache and get some better.
And staying with the Movie-era, I got a 3D print of the Cetacean-probe from Voyage Home. Quite a small model and wasn’t expensive. I like the rough surface texture. Toying with the idea of giving it a coat of Tamiya’s pearlescent clear coat once it’s painted.
Wonder if I can make a tiny Saratoga to go with it?
