The annual Armor Modelling Preservation Society “Election Season” has arrived! Our election runs from January to March 15 of each year. So if you think you have the right stuff to be one of our few AMPS officers, here is your opportunity! If you don’t know what AMPS is, now is a great time to find out. If you are a former member or maybe you simply strayed from the AMPS path now is a fantastic time to reconnect! Available 2021 AMPS positions that are as follows:
President
· 2nd Vice President - Eastern Region
· 2nd Vice President - Central Region
· 2nd Vice President - Midwest Region
· 2nd Vice President - Western Region
· 2nd Vice President - International
The nomination period runs from 1 January to 28 February, with voting by members in good standing occurring from 1-15 March also via the AMPS website. This year, AMPS Elected Officers will take their official positions on 1 May and will serve for two years. The elections will be certified whether the 2021 International Convention is held or not.
AMPS officers generally work behind the scenes to improve the organization by serving on rules committees, addressing issues to improve AMPS, Boresight, and engage in discussions on ways to make future shows even better as well as the planning for each international show. If you are a member in good standing, you can nominate yourself or someone else by posting on the 2021 Elections Discussion Group on the AMPS website. We look forward to hearing from you!
