seems to be another chinese firm, but already forgot the name.
When will we see the Blue Thunder? ![]()
Confirmed as 1/35 by the way
I’m pleased that such helicopters are being produced in 1/35 - especially the Gazelle, having been used by the British Army Air Corps - and me folks - extensively, but whilst I only have a couple in the stash (helicopters that is, not the Gazelle) consisting of the Revell relatively diminutive Bell H-13H (with a view to making some sort of Bell 47 Sioux) to the mighty Heller Super Frelon, I have some doubts: whilst I might cram the Bell onto one of my A3-sized bases, a Gazelle model must come in at about a foot long, and that’s a lot of space taken up. So whilst I’m looking forward to embracing helicopters into my modelling efforts with some enthusiasm, I have concerns about how to do so! Of course, I know that the answer is “get a bigger base you dolt!” which would be fair enough, but I’ll have to give all this some careful thought I think.
The Westland Scout - which I hope we get to see in 1/35 one day - would be 10" long so even that will take some planning.
Overall though, great to see more helicopters available in 1/35, despite my fretting about a base - it opens up the possibilities of interesting dioramas with vehicles and aircraft. Great news(!)
There’s a surprise coming, and I venture to say it’ll be much better received. ![]()
