HB is a decent kit
What I don’t like about the Border kit is that the track blocks are divided in two. That really got the part count up!
I found a thread with a link to my build, but it doesn’t work:
But then I also found the photos from it on Photobucket:
In no particular order, these show just some of the shortcomings of the Bronco kit. I think the first photo shows how I relocated the fuel filler hatch, which was in the wrong position. Some others may show how the turret proportions were off. I think the red lines indicate how everything is in the correct orientation after moving the turret to the rear.

You get the idea. Not the better of the choices out there.
Be aware that the early kits of Bronco and Hobbyboss labeled ZTZ-99A represent a much earlier version, unproperly called in this way. This version is deeply different from what is called ZTZ-99A now, that appears to have a much higher shape than the early models.
I remember reading your post on this which is why I went with the HB kit.
I’m glad it was helpful. Does that make me an official online influencer now? If I help one other person it’ll raise my cred by 100%!
I have it , great kit
